Not so long ago Ntshebele wrote about Precious Manaka Gold’s participation in Miss Curvylicious 2024 and other empowering initiatives she is involved in. Miss Curvylicious final took place on the 1st of November 2024, where Precious won the public choice category and was crowned as the runner up in the overall competition.

In her journey to the final, Precious led a charity drive in collaboration with Doves Lephalale, Enflotech marketing and Phuti Mphelo. On the 25th of October 2024, the team donated shoes and sanitary towels in Madibaneng Primary and Kodupo Secondary Schools, both located in Madibaneg. She has also done school outreach programs throughout her Pageant journey, which includes Matric learners in various secondary schools across the country.

Speaking to Ntshebele post the Pageant, Precious said her initiatives will not come to an end because of the competition but they are something she will continue to do, to empower the community, irrespective of their demography. “It is due to this very point that I have done mental health motivation talks on a number of community radio stations in Limpopo and Gauteng, as well as on SABC’s Public Broadcast Station Thobela FM. I have also dedicated my time to offering health outreach programs to schools in Gauteng on Nelson Mandela Day. I have reached out to a boy child, donated toiletries, school shoes and non-perishable foods in collaboration with Stella stars 3D printing, Famous barber, MORAFE foundation, TVM media & Tsoga foundation,” she said.

Regarding her participation in the pageant, she said she is happy to have taken part, and she learned a lot in the process. The competition was a worthy platform which exposed her to people from different parts of Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Tanzania, Zimbabwe and Uganda. “I am looking forward to applying my learnings and experience to my future projects.

I would like to thank and appreciate the sponsors, including those that dressed me throughout the projects. My other special thanks go to my colleague and SABC producer Lunga Dhlamini for covering the Miss Curvylicious pageant on SABC News.

I also want to show gratitude to #TeamPreciousGold, my family and friends for accompanying me to different areas, from Lephalale and Polokwane to Pretoria state Theatre and cheering louder at the event. I feel blessed to have such strong support, it encourages me to keep trying to do more,” she concluded.
