The police issued out information that a 22 year old Jimmy Motlogeloa escaped from lawful custody at Lephalale Magistrate Court around 11h30 on the 18 October 2016. He was arrested for burglary and sexual assault on cas 138/10/2016 .
According to Lephalale SAPS, Motlogeloa escaped from court cells while waiting at the passage by unlocking the leg irons (foot cuffs) with the original keys.
Motlogeloa then broke the burglar door before escaping through the unused court .
It is unknown on how he got hold of the keys.
In addition, Cas 211/10/2016 of escape from lawful custody has now been opened at Lephalale SAPS.
