Bolobathaba Media Group’s training academy Africa Institute of Multimedia (AIM®) in partnership with the Limpopo Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) has been funded by the National Film & Video Foundation (NFVF) as part of the Presidential Employment Stimulus Programme (PESP) to implement a 3-month SKILLS & INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME in Film & TV Production. The programmes will run from 1 April 2021 to 30 June 2021 (3 Months).
The programmes are aimed at giving unemployed youth who are passionate about the film and television industry a head start to produce short films, videos and television content for either online consumption or television.
AIM® is a multimedia school with the primary aim to develop rural Africa in multimedia production training as well as being at the forefront of the 4th Industrial Revolution (4IR) in the creative sector, and the LCCI is a provincial business representative body with a mission to ensure that the Local economy can thrive, be quantified, locally owned and globally aligned. And therefore the AIM® Film & Television Production Skills and Internship Programme is targeted at aspiring filmmakers, video and television content creators, as well as graduates who are seeking workplace experience in a professional environment. The programme will also grant those with at least Grade 12 (matric) or an equivalent qualification with an opportunity to learn the basics of film, video and television production. We believe this programme will contribute to the dire need of professionalizing the multimedia sector and create jobs in rural communities.
