
A 25 year old man was shot and injured after failing to pay R5 for a lift. The incident took place at Sefitlhogo village on Sunday afternoon.
According information received from police, the victim did not have R5,00 to pay for the lift and this infuriated the suspect who pulled out his work gun and allegedly shot the victim on his thigh and the bullet penetrated through. The suspect was travelling with his driver in a Nissan NP200.
The suspect is a 45 year man old who is a security officer escorting trucks transporting copper cables from Globlersbridge to Gauteng. The suspect has been arrested for attempted murder.
The victim was rushed to Witpoort Hospital for treatment.
